Fuga Tours and Travel ("we", "us") is a tour operator based in Entebbe, Uganda. This policy explains what personal information we collect through fugatoursandtravel.com and during bookings, why we collect it, and how we protect it, in line with Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 and, where it applies to our international guests, similar laws in their home countries.

Information we collect

Enquiries: when you use our contact or enquiry forms, email us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive your name, email address, phone number and the details you choose to share about your trip.
Bookings: to book permits, accommodation and transport, we need each traveller's full name, nationality, passport number, date of birth and, where relevant, dietary or medical information you provide.
Payments: records of payments made to us. We do not store card numbers on this website.
Website usage: anonymous or pseudonymous data about how visitors use the site, collected through cookies and analytics tools (see below).

How we use your information

To answer your enquiry and prepare quotations and itineraries
To book gorilla and park permits, accommodation, flights and other services in your name
To communicate with you before and during your safari
To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations
To understand and improve how our website is used

We do not sell your personal information.

We share only what is necessary to deliver your trip: the Uganda Wildlife Authority and Rwanda Development Board (for permits), lodges and hotels, airlines, guides and drivers, and border or immigration authorities where required. We may also use service providers that process data on our behalf, such as email and website hosting, spam filtering of form submissions, and website analytics.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, and analytics services (such as Google Analytics, connected through Google Site Kit) that help us understand visits to the site. The WhatsApp chat button opens WhatsApp, which is governed by its own privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for up to two years, and booking and financial records for as long as required by law. After that, the data is deleted or anonymised.

Security

We limit access to personal data to staff and partners who need it, and we use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. No online transmission is completely secure, so please avoid sending passport scans over unsecured channels. Ask us for the preferred method.

Your rights
