Day One. Pick up from Entebbe or Kampala and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Begin your exciting 5-day Murchison Falls and Kibale Forest National Park tour with an early breakfast and a warm welcome from your knowledgeable company driver guide. Your guide will provide a detailed overview of the tour itinerary, ensuring that you’re fully prepared for the adventure ahead.

From there, you’ll travel northwest to Murchison Falls National Park via the scenic Kampala-Luwero-Masindi route, which takes approximately 4-5 hours. Along the way, you’ll make a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a chance to track rhinos and enjoy a delicious lunch.

After lunch, you’ll continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park through the Kichumbanyobo Gate Park. Once inside the park, you’ll head to the top of the falls, where you can witness the breathtaking sight of the Nile River as it squeezes through a narrow gorge that’s only 7 meters wide before breaking off into a thunderous cascade of water that drops 43 meters.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness the natural beauty of one of Africa’s most spectacular waterfalls. With your guide’s expert knowledge and guidance, you’ll be able to appreciate the full majesty of Murchison Falls and the surrounding landscape.

Day two:  Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise in Murchison Falls National Park

You will have an early breakfast and then embark on an exhilarating game drive in the north circuit of Murchison Falls National Park. This area is known for its high concentration of diverse wildlife species, including antelopes, giraffes, lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and over 451 bird species.

During your 2-3 hour game drive, your expert guide will help you spot and identify the various animals and birds, providing you with a rich understanding of the ecosystem and the wildlife that call it home. After a thrilling morning of game viewing, you’ll return to your lodge for a relaxing lunch.

In the afternoon, get ready for a boat cruise to the bottom of the Falls, departing at 2:00pm. As you cruise along the River Nile, you’ll encounter a range of water-based wildlife, such as hippos, basking crocodiles, and an array of water birds. The cruise provides stunning views of the Falls, and it’s an ideal way to appreciate the full majesty of the cascading water and its surroundings after words you will head back at your lodge take dinner and overnight at Elephant Oasis Lodge

Day Three. Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Start your day with an early and delicious breakfast, and then join your driver guide for one last game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. This is the perfect opportunity to catch a glimpse of early morning risers such as lions, leopards, hyenas, and various bird species. After the game drive, you’ll continue your journey to Kibale National Park, which takes approximately 7 hours in a comfortable 4×4 Safari vehicle. Along the way, you’ll be treated to stunning views of Uganda’s natural landscapes and sceneries, making it a truly unforgettable road trip. You’ll also have the chance to enjoy a packed lunch during your journey. Upon arrival at Kibale National Park, check-in at your preferred lodge and relax. Kibale Forest Camp

Kibale National Park is known for its incredible diversity of primates, including over 1,500 chimpanzees, which are the park’s main attraction. With a variety of lodges to choose from, you’re sure to find a comfortable place to rest and recharge before embarking on the next day’s adventure.

Day Four:  Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi wetland walkin Kibale Forest National Park

You will have an early breakfast,  and your guide will drive you to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre in Kibale National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll join a group of other visitors for a briefing on the set guidelines for chimpanzee tracking, which starts at 7:00am. At 8:00am, you’ll embark on an unforgettable primate adventure, which could last anywhere from 2-4 hours, with a maximum of one hour face to face encounter with the chimpanzees.

Along the way, you’ll have the chance to spot other primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L’ Hoest monkeys, as well as a variety of birds, colourful butterflies, and more. After the chimpanzee tracking, you’ll return to your lodge for a delicious lunch.

In the afternoon, you’ll transfer to the Bigodi Wetland for a guided nature walk. This walk takes you through an incredible primate encounter, where you’ll have the opportunity to spot L’ Hoest monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, red colobus, vervet monkeys, as well as an array of bird species, including the great blue turacoes, and other mammal species. The guided nature walk at Bigodi Wetland is an excellent opportunity to explore Uganda’s natural beauty and wildlife up close after the walk you will be driven back to your lodge take your last diinner  and overnight Kibale Forest Camp

Day Five:  Transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe

After enjoying an early breakfast at your lodge and checking out, you will embark on the journey back to either Kampala or Entebbe. As you drive, take in the breathtaking scenery of tea plantations and enjoy a delicious lunch along the way.
