It involves a tour to some of the richest National parks and gives an ultimate experience with various wild life in their natural habitats. It provides an exciting experience to rich Ugandan cultures like the Batwa in the forests of Bwindi forest. By the end of the tour you leave with a memory worth keeps.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival and pick up from Entebbe international Airport

Welcome to Uganda: On day 1 of the 13 Days Best Of Uganda Safari, you will be welcomed in Uganda the pearl of Africa by Fuga Tours and Travel’s processional guide upon landing at Entebbe international airport.

 I’d like to brief you about this 2-week adventure as you head to your reserved hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will check in for a meal, then spend your evening at leisure

Day 2. Transfer to Murchison falls National Park

Have a fresh bout of energy with a typical continental breakfast and start the 6-7 hours journey through small en-route towns, beautiful sceneries, and roadside markets before making a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in the Nakasongola district.

You will make your first stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. This is a chance to learn about the conservation journey of rhinos in Uganda. These creatures were on the verge of extinction until the sanctuary was established. The second stop will be in Masindi town for lunch. Proceed to the park and check in to your lodge upon arrival., following the fatigue from the long journey, no park activities will be planned for this day. Have dinner and overnight: Elephant Oasis lodge

Day 3. Explore Murchison falls National Park

After breakfast at your lodge, you will head for a morning game drive in the park. Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest and oldest national Park. It is home to 4 of the big five animals. These include; elephants, lions, leopards, and African cape buffalo. The park is also home to multiple bird species like the grey-crowned crested

Crane, African great kingfisher, African fishing eagle, and many more. The park will take you through the lush savannah vegetation. Return to your lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will go for an amazing boat cruise on the Nile River. Here, you will see many water bird species on the river banks. The cruise will also introduce you to many hippos and crocodiles. Your boat excursion will take you to the bottom of Murchison Falls. From here, you will be led by a ranger guide on a hike to the top of the falls. Take your memorable picture of the world’s strongest waterfall and create an everlasting memory. Later on, meet your driver guide and embark on a drive to your accommodation facility for dinner and overnight.

Day 4.  Transfer to Kibale forest National Park

After an early breakfast, you will drive to Fort Portal with lunch en route.

You will drive through traditional homesteads and farms and this will enable you to enjoy the beautiful scenery across that part of the country through the oil city of Hoima.

You will arrive in the evening and have a rest while sipping some juice and wine. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Kibale forest lodge

Day 5.  Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

Tame the jungles with a primate trek and enjoy lots of sights, than you ever imagined. First, have breakfast and have a briefing at the Park Headquarters before following the Ranger guide to search for the chimpanzees, our close relatives. These primates live in troops, some of which have to be habituated for trekking, and the search is done on foot and goes for 1-4 hours with sights of other primates, birds, and tree species that are worth your attention.

After the allotted one hour with the chimpanzees, we are transferred back to the Lodge for lunch after which proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy a typical wilderness experience with dinner and rest at Kazinga wildness safari camp

Day 6.  Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth NP

Get ready for the morning game drive after a healthy breakfast at the Safari Camp/Lodge. The Queen Elizabeth Park tour includes a guided game drive and a later boat ride in the afternoon. Start driving through the vast savannah plains of the Kasenyi area where herds of Cape buffalos, Uganda Kobs, African bush elephants, Topis, hartebeests, giant forest hogs, mongoose, Olive baboons, bushbucks, pride of lions, spotted hyenas, hippos and leopards to mention but a few.

After the interesting game drive, have some rest at the lodge then continue to the Mweya jetty for the start of this boat ride. Here commonly spotted animals are hippos and Nile crocodiles as well as elephants, antelopes, and water birds. After this tiring but rewarding day in the wilderness, grab some dinner and catch some sleep at Kazinga wildness safari camp

Day 7. Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable NP through Ishasha sector

Grab some Breakfast continue to the waiting safari vehicle and take a ride to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Proceed via the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park where a short game drive will increase the chances of spotting the rare tree-climbing lions and take a lunch break at Savannah Resort in Kihihi. Rest at any of the stunning safari lodges in Bwindi. Rushaga gorilla lodge

Day 8. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Enjoy a hearty breakfast and set out for briefing at the Park Headquarters, then begin the actual trek for mountain gorillas at 8:00 am. Walk through the densely forested Park. while searching for the mountain gorillas is the main focus, pay close attention to the singing birds and animals encountered because you can never fail to meet them, and on successfully trekking and finding them, your clock will start ticking as only one hour is provided for viewing and photography. Have lunch and check out of the Lodge for a journey to the stunning Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 9.  Canoeing and other activities in Lake Bunyonyi

Get prepared for the Lake Bunyonyi tours after a delicious breakfast. First, be taken to the shores of Uganda’s deepest lake where several activities will be chosen the options are boat rides or canoeing , cycling, guided nature walks, community/village tours as well as birding and these activities end in the evening thus breaks will be taken between adventures for lunch. The tour of this spectacular Lake ends in the evening when we return to the lodge for rest and dinner.

Day 10. Transfer to Lake Mburo  National Park

After an early breakfast at 8:30 am, you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park and arrive in the afternoon. You will have lunch and relaxation. Later, you’ll go for a nature walk in the park with a ranger The walk will enable you to see giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, Impalas, waterbucks, Pumba, zebras, and elands all these will make your visit memorable. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Rwakobo Rock.

Day 11. Transfer to Jinja via Kampala

Relish breakfast and get ready to have a short game drive through Lake Mburo National Park with the hope of seeing more giant elands, hartebeests, common warthogs, Vervet monkeys, leopards (if lucky), Impalas, Topis, Oribis, spotted hyenas and the Defassa waterbucks before exiting Lake Mburo National Park for Jinja, via Kampala City.

Day  12.  Adventure tours in Jinja

Be treated to a hearty breakfast, then head out for adventure as part of our 13 day Uganda safari. If you have the ambition to undertake bungee jumping, whitewater rafting, Quad bike tours along the banks of the River Nile, or Horseback rides, then this will be one of the best days of this trip. Stroll along the banks of River Nile or watch some birds in the evening then retire from this fun-filled day for dinner and rest.

Day 13. Transfer to Entebbe Airport and departure

Our 13 days Uganda safari comes to an end but one thing for sure is that the memories will last forever. Have a delicious breakfast and check out of the hotel for a journey to Kampala City then to Entebbe International Airport if your flight is scheduled for this day. This will mark the end of the 13 Days Uganda Safari.
